“Casa Verde – Cebu’s American Style Restaurant”

Casa Verde’s Ramos Branch

Ever since I’ve moved to Cebu, I’ve always been fascinated by the restaurants and fast food joints that are scattered all over the metro. For a gal like me who has lived her entire life in small towns with limited choices when it comes to a good restaurant, one could easily be overwhelmed by living in a big city such as Cebu and realizing that I’ve never fully satisfied my food cravings until now.

I live in Ramos Street, a walking distance from Fuente Osmeña which is considered as the heart of the city. Not far from us is where one of Casa Verde’s branch is situated, in #69 Lim Tian Teng Street (formerly known as V. Ranudo) Ramos. The place is not easy to find, so if it’s your first time going there then don’t be afraid to ask the locals.

“Brian’s Ribs” – Baked pork ribs with a sweet, tangy piquet sauce served with rice and corn and carrots.

I don’t know about you but I’ve always loved the sweet and tangy pork ribs that they serve there. When I’ve first tasted their pork ribs, I know I won’t be looking elsewhere. Restaurants offering delicious pork ribs as their specialty usually add their own unique twist to it. And that’s why Brian’s Ribs is so special from any other ribs out there, because they make sure that the taste and tenderness of the ribs is perfect and it comes in a hefty portion too. One order is good for two people already but I wouldn’t be surprised if you could be able to finish one all by yourself in a single sitting, just like me!

Of course, that’s just not the only thing that I order every time I go there. There’s a lot of great options in their menu and one of them is the Ultimate Blazing Nachos, which can be eaten as an appetizer or as a main course. The portion is big enough to fill you up, that you might not order anything else. As for the dessert, my boyfriend and I always order the Victor’s Peak since it’s his favorite dessert and a must-have whenever we go to Casa Verde. It’s tall and really frozen that it actually takes two people to devour.

“Best Sampler” – Golden fried cheese, Potato skins and Buffalo wings served with sides of marinara sauce, sour cream and bleu cheese.

Casa Verde’s Ramos Branch is always packed with people especially on holidays and other special occasions, so it might be hard to find a table if you go there on Valentine’s day for a date or when there are big happenings in the area like the Sinulog. It’s not a hassle if you live nearby, but if you come from a far place, it’s best to call the restaurant for a reservation a day before to ensure that you can get the best table especially for large groups.

“Ultimate Blazing Nachos” – Crispy white corn tortilla chips, topped with meat sauce, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, jalapeño and melted cheese.

So if you decide to come here in Cebu or are already here in Cebu, then you definitely must try going to a branch of Casa Verde near you. They have a wide array of scrumptious foods that will surely satisfy your cravings! And once you’ve had a taste of what they have in store, then you’ll definitely come back for more. =)

“Victor’s Peak” – Peanut butter, cookie bits, chopped nuts, chocolate fudge and peanut butter in between chocolate and vanilla ice cream on top of a chocolate cookie crust with whipped cream and topped with cherry and drizzled with chocolate syrup and caramel sauce.
